Terms of Service

Last updated: 8 July 2026

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Read60 mobile application and the read60 website (together, the "Service"). By using the Service you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

1. What Read60 is

Read60 delivers short, approximately 60-word summaries of news stories. Summaries are generated by our automated newsroom and reviewed before publication. Each card links to the original article at its source publisher, and we encourage you to read the full story for complete context.

2. Use of the Service

3. Your account

You can use Read60 without an account. If you create one (to sync preferences across devices and receive a personalised feed), you agree to provide accurate information, keep your credentials confidential, and accept responsibility for activity under your account. You can delete your account at any time from the App's settings or by contacting us; see our Privacy Policy for what happens to your data when you do.

4. Content and accuracy

Our summaries are produced with care, including automated quality checks and editorial review, but they are condensed accounts of reporting by third parties. We do not guarantee that any summary is complete, accurate, or current, and summaries may occasionally contain errors. The Service is provided for general information only and is not professional, financial, legal, or medical advice. Always refer to the original article and, where it matters, the primary source.

5. Third-party content and links

Headlines, underlying facts, and linked articles belong to their respective publishers, who retain all rights in their work. Links to publisher sites are provided for attribution and further reading; we are not responsible for the content, policies, or availability of third-party sites.

6. Intellectual property

The Read60 name, logo, app design, and our original summary text are owned by Read60. You may not reproduce or redistribute the Service's content at scale, or use it to train machine-learning systems, without our prior written permission.

7. Availability and changes

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available". We may add, change, suspend, or discontinue features (or the Service itself) at any time. We may also update these Terms; continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Read60 and its team will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for any loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of (or inability to use) the Service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service will not exceed the amount you paid us to use it (which, for the current free Service, is zero).

9. Termination

We may suspend or terminate access to the Service for conduct that violates these Terms, including automated scraping or abuse of our infrastructure. You may stop using the Service at any time by uninstalling the App.

10. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of India.
