Delete Your Account

You can permanently delete your Read60 account and its associated data at any time. Deletion requests are handled by email and completed within 14 days. Deletion is permanent and cannot be undone.

Option 1 — From the app

1. Open the Read60 app.
2. Go to Settings → Support & Contact → Delete Account.
3. Tap Email us to delete — this opens a pre-filled deletion request in your email app. Send it and you're done.

Option 2 — Email us directly

Email hello_read60@proton.me with the subject "Account deletion request", preferably from the email address associated with your account (so we can verify it's you). This works even if you can no longer sign in to the app.

We verify each request, delete the account and associated data, and confirm back to you by email — within 14 days of your request.

What gets deleted

• Your account (sign-in identity and profile).
• Your synced data: bookmarks and preferences linked to your account.

What may be retained

Aggregated, de-identified usage statistics (which cannot be linked back to you) may be retained. Any data we are legally required to keep is retained only for the required period. See our Privacy Policy for full details on data handling and retention.

Using Read60 without an account

Read60 does not require an account to read the news — you can also simply sign out and continue using the app without one.
